Sugarcraft magazine

This new book comprises 100 tutorials compiled from the Twenty to Make range and features models, miniature shoes, and some flower tutorials written by some of our favourite sugarcraft experts including: Frances McNaughton, Georgie Godbold, Katrien van Zyl, Lisa Slatter and Paula McLeod.

Each easy-to-follow tutorial is laid out clearly on the page, with a list of materials and an 'exploded' photo showing all the sugar elements before being put together. This is really great as you can see the individual shapes and proportions in relation to al the other pieces and the assembly is broken down into manageable stages. At the opening of the book is a list of tools and materials and their other names which I think is useful, particularly for beginners. The skill levels are easy to intermediate sop everyone can feel confident to have a go. I particularly liked Frances' shoes, bags and doggies, which are so cute and fun to make. Luisa has created a lovely rose tutorial alongside a selection of other useful flowers. Katrien and Paula show different stages of figure modelling for beginners, and there are some delightful models by Georgie for the festive season and more.

You may already have some of the smaller Twenty to Make books, but I would certainly consider buying this compilation just for Georgie's models.
