Grannies+texture+colour= My new favorite trio. A few days before Granny Square Day, I started making grannies from Claire Montgomerie's deck, and I'm totally addicted to them. This card deck is absolutely gorgeous!!
Patterns that I used: Checkerboard and Popcorn Daisy from The Granny Square Card Deck.

The granny square card deck by Claire Montgomerie is bringing me so much joy during my down time inbetween shoots and editing. These mindful squares are the best medicine!

Plans for the autumn are not only knitting, but also learning. This summer I saw some beautiful crochet bag designs and I decided to make such a bag myself for the next summer. Since I can only make a chain on crochet, I have a lot to learn. It's been a long time I wanted to hunt this box, but either it wasn't available or fakes appeared. This original is done very solidly. Cards are printed on high quality cardboard. The idea that Claire Montgomerie created to have each square on a separate card is great. On one side a photo of a finished granny square and on the other a diagram of the execution. The set includes a book with explanations and tips. It's a brilliant thing to do. It's going to be so beautiful.

This is a new favorite and is so much fun. There are 50 different mix and match cards in this deck and you can just go through and find your favorite ones or make an entire sampler blanket.

The card deck is probably one of the best craft "things" I've ever seen and I can't crochet! What a brilliant idea - absolutely love it!
