New from popular crafter and best-selling author Jo Lochhead, creator of the Crafty Kit Company (@craftykitcompany).

Inspired by the Scottish countryside and a worldwide palette of woodlands, wildlife and open skies, all 12 delightful projects reflect the rich textures and colours of nature. Each design captures a little piece of outdoor beauty to place inside your home.

Whether you are looking for a relaxing new hobby or a way to elevate your current textile art, this book solves the most common crafting frustrations.

  • Perfect for all skill levels: Designed specifically to take the intimidation out of crafting, this book is the ideal entry point for a complete beginner, while offering fresh, boundary-pushing inspiration for the experienced crafter.
  • Solves the fear of starting from scratch: by using the included full-size templates and following the step-by-step instructions, you will achieve beautiful, proportionate results immediately.
  • Take your needle felting further! This guide introduces exciting mixed-media techniques; learn to seamlessly blend wool-painting with embroidery stitches, watercolour paint, felt fabric and small foraged items.
  • Display your art: instead of letting your work sit forgotten in a drawer, a dedicated section teaches you how to frame, mount and display your finished pieces.

About the Author

About Jo Lochhead

Jo Lochhead is the founder and creative director of The Crafty Kit Company, an award-winning soft craft kit business in East Lothian, Scotland, and a life-long crafter. Coming from a creative background (her father was a watercolour artist, her brother is a ceramicist, and her mother knits, sews and crochets), she was making and stitching from an early age. Over the years she’s explored many crafts, from embroidery to needle-felting, but her guiding force has always been to achieve mindfulness and joy from the making experience.

As well as leading the team at The Crafty Kit Company, running its online workshops, and sharing the pleasure of making with new and experienced crafters alike, Jo is a regular contributor to Stitch magazine and the author of several books, including All-New Twenty to Make: Felt Flowers and Needle Felting Art, both published by Search Press.

To learn more about Jo, and discover the crafting techniques she’s shared with thousands of people for over 20 years, take a look at The Crafty Kit Company’s website and social media.
