I'm new to cross stitch and this book has been invaluable since I got it. The book has everything you need whether new to crochet or not. The book starts with; Materials, How to Start, Using the Charts, Stitches, Project Help. And then it goes on to give you all the motif diagrams. The instructions are easy to follow and have useful pictures and photos to help you on your way.

If you aren't new to cross-stitch then don't worry the book is jam packed with motifs. You can either use them individually or put them together to make beautiful pictures. They can be used in so many different ways. Creating everything from cards to personlised clothes and bags. Every subject possible is covered, With so much covered you are sure to find something for every occasion and every theme. The diagrams are easy to follow and are a really good size. I decided for my first motif I would try and make my niece an Easter Card. I made a mistake with the right hand wing

but that was just the brain fog and not the pattern. I really enjoyed making it and it was really

easy to follow the chart. I loved the design and will be making loads more in the book for other occasions. If you cross stitch then this book is a fantastic addition to your library. It's one you'll use time and again.

This is such a cute colourful book full of fun and quirky charm, it's a must-have for cross stitch fans. It's a book full of cross stitch motifs, but with a cute childish feel to them. There are bunnies and diggers, tractors and teddy bears. If you want to cross stitch for children it would be a perfect book for you, but also if you are into the cute kawaii look you'll love it too. Motifs are useful to embellish cards and children's blankets. You can get special aida which you sew on to another fabric while you cross stitch which then dissolves in water. There are twelve introductory pages before the motifs on: stitches, framing, using the charts, sizing your design and preparing the fabric. Sharon has published several books and been in lots of magazines. She knits, sews and felts as well as cross stiches so she is a very adept craft teacher.

This little book should provide plenty of inspiration for cross stitch projects of all kinds. Its neat format is handy to carry around. The motifs are grouped together in themes and are easy to access and use. Youll find plenty of ideas for all occasions such as weddings, birthdays, Christmas, animals, figures and more. The majority are suitable for projects for children. There are plenty of ideas. You can now easily design your own projects using the many ideas provided. There is information on materials and how to get started, fabrics, the basic stitch and charts. The charts are small, and there are several to a page, but I do have problems with my eyesight, and I found them easy to read and use. The size of your eventual work depends on your Aida count. I would have liked the book to lie flat, it would be even easier to use.
